Sliding doors

General A sliding door can now be supplied as access door on the afterdeck. The sliding door is fitted with double glazing as standard, but can also be supplied with single toughened glass. As double glazing must be accommodated, a significant building-in depth is needed. The opening door rolls on at least two sets of wheels. The door is thus easy to open and close. A cylinder lock makes it possible to lock the door both from inside and outside.

Mounting The sliding access door can be fixed with clamp blocks on the ship’s wall on the inside of the door, or it can be provided with pre-bored and countersunk holes in the flange of the door on the outside.

Glazing This system is manufactured as standard with double glazing. The specification of this can be altered to meet safety requirements and can be supplied in many styles. The door can also  be supplied with single glazing on request.

Interior finishing It is possible to finish the clamp blocks with interior joinery or an optional aluminium angle moulding.

 Surface finish You can choose between a polished and anodised style or a style with powder coating in any RAL colour.
